These Terms govern your use of Get Thy Bread, operated by Jaycee-Ann Day ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy and EULA.
The service
Get Thy Bread is a macOS app that captures your work activity locally and uses AI to help you produce timesheets and invoices. AI features require an active subscription and an internet connection.
Accounts
You must provide a valid email and keep your password secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. You must be at least 16 and able to form a binding contract.
Free trial, subscription, and billing
- New accounts include a 14-day free trial with no credit card required. Full access during the trial; it simply ends after 14 days unless you subscribe.
- After the trial, the subscription is $12 USD per month or $120 USD per year (about $10/month, two months free), billed through Stripe, renewing automatically until cancelled.
- You can cancel anytime; access continues until the end of the paid period.
- Taxes may apply depending on your location. See the Refund Policy.
Acceptable use
Do not use the service to break the law, infringe others' rights, attempt to extract our API keys or model access, resell the AI access, or disrupt the service.
AI output is a draft, not advice
AI features generate drafts. You are responsible for reviewing every invoice, amount, tax figure, and total before sending it to anyone. We do not provide tax, accounting, or legal advice. See the disclaimer in the EULA.
Availability and changes
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features. We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service.
Termination
You may stop using the service and delete your account anytime. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
Disclaimers and liability
The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, including losses arising from invoices, tax filings, or amounts you send based on AI output.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia, Canada, without regard to conflict of law rules. Disputes will be handled in the courts of British Columbia, Canada.
